Monkey Tools has released version 2.1 of the audio file conversion utility Sound Grinder. Version 2.1 includes new features and enhancements including “peak” and “RMS” Normalizing and AMR Narrowband output file support.
Sound Grinder is a feature rich audio utility featuring conversion support for many of the most popular audio formats including: Sound Designer 2, WAV, AU, AIFF, OGG/Vorbis, MP3 (LAME codec), Quicktime Movie and others. Sound Grinder also incorporates Rapid Convert providing fast access to audio conversion right within the Mac OS X Finder, pull-up/pull-down sample rates, folder hierarchy recreation, and 31 character naming compatibility.
Sound Grinder 2.1 is available immediately from the Monkey Tools website. Sound Grinder 2.1 costs $39, and is a free upgrade to existing users who purchased previous versions of Sound Grinder on or before February 28th, 2005. Registered users will receive email notice of the process to obtain their free upgrade.
