Digital Music Doctor Releases Sonar 4 Tutorial CD-ROM

October 8, 2004

The Digital Music Doctor, Clark Murray, announced the release of a new screen-video course, Sonar 4–Know It All!. Sonar is Cakewalk's flagship MIDI and digital audio editor.

Intened to benefit both beginners and advanced users, the course contains fifteen modules and is organized into four sections: There is an overview section which covers elements that are common to both midi and audio. This section provides an introduction to Sonar projects as well recording, editing and mixing using the Sonar 4 Producer Edition. There are in-depth sections for both audio and MIDI which cover recording, editing and mixing using actual projects. Finally there is an Advanced Topics section which includes loop compositions, drum map editing, surround sound mixing, as well as the use of soft synths and system exclusive commands.

SONAR 4–Know It All! provides more than two hours of video presented using Macromedia Flash. It requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later. The examples used in the tutorials require Cakewalk SONAR 4.0 Producer Editionor later.
