Bit Lair Company announces Bit Lair™ Sight Reading Tutor 1.2.

This PC based program displays sheet music on the computer monitor. As the student sings into the microphone, the program provides feedback for each note (correct, too high, too low, etc). Any singing exercise may be also practiced as a rhythm exercise. The program checks timing and note duration.

Lessons start with the basics necessary for beginners. Intermediate students may skip the material already mastered with the help of assessment exercises.

A tool for choir, band and orchestra directors, as well as students and private music teachers, this program allows for addition of user written exercises. The program may also be used as an additional tool for students of AP Music Theory.

The full version of the program has 400 exercises and currently costs $40. Site licensing available. Free demo may be downloaded.

Minimum system requirements:

Windows 2000 / Windows XP minimum display resolution 800 x 600 pixels recommended CPU speed 1GHz or higher earphones connected to the sound card microphone connected to the sound card
