10th USA Songwriting Competition Under Way

Entries for the 10th Annual USA Songwriting Competition are currently being accepted, with close to $100,000 is cash, merchandise, and services.

To enter, submit a song uo to five minutes in length in one of 15 different categories. The entry fee is $30, and you may submit more than one song to increase your chances. Entries must be postmarked by May 31, 2005, with winners selected by November 15.

Winning songs of the 2005 USA Songwriting Competition will receive airplay on a nationally syndicated radio program “Acoustic Cafe” as well as XM Satellite Radio. This is the first USA Songwriting Competition that gives airplay to the winning songs. The overall Grand Prize is valued at $50,000, with $7000 and $5800 worth of merchandise going to the Overall 2nd and 3rd place winners. Additional prizes are awarded to winners each of the 15 categories, along with 20 honorable mentions. The first $1000 entries will also receive free subscriptionsto Rolling Stone and Singer Magazine.
